TAO’s 5th Year Anniversary!
Often times, people will ask us what it is that The Artist Outreach does for the community. Due to the wide variety of programs and service, we generally talk about the programs in education, STREAMliners or simply say that “we nurture inspiration and creativity.”
As we approach our fifth year anniversary, we would like to let our supporters know of the impact that is being made. The Artist Outreach is having the bamboo effect. When you plant bamboo, it take five years of developing a root system underneath the ground. On year five, you begin to see bamboo sprouting everywhere under the sun! That is The Artist Outreach’s story:
~~~~ In the past 6 months, TAO has received major support in all of the areas of service ~~~~
- STREAMliners Education continues to receive new supporters and annual support from David M. Crowley Foundation and City of Dallas, Office of Cultural Affairs.
- Inspired Living Catalog has received grant awards to support Art Therapy and Culinary Nutrition programs for at-risk children through the Haggerty Foundation and The William G. McGowan Charitable Fund.
- Healing In Motion Catalog has now received grant awards from Mercury One to support Veterans through Culinary Nutrition programs.
This bamboo effect has gained speed just recently, and so, we look forward to building these programs throughout North Texas and Kansas/Missouri. Thank you for all of your support!!
