TAO Officially Receives Second Award for Kansas City!
With much support from our Dallas and Kansas City communities, we reached our goal to receive a matching fund challenge of $25,000.
The Artist Outreach received its grant award support from the William G. McGowan Charitable Fund allowing us to perform our culinary nutrition programs, “Play With Your Food!” for low income at-risk youth. These children learn the importance of healthy eating, achieving it by purchasing high-quality food at low prices and cooking it themselves.
This has been a very successful program for our partners’ YMCA of Greater Kansas City and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kansas City. We thank everyone who helped us reach this goal to continue the program throughout 2017!
